Sunset cruise questions
What time do sunset cruises leave in Doha?
Departure follows the season: roughly 4–6 pm from October to February and 5–7 pm in summer, so the cruise ends shortly after the sun sets. Operators confirm the exact slot for your date, and it is worth arriving about 15 minutes early.
What will I see on a Doha sunset cruise?
The typical route runs along the bay: Old Doha Port and the Corniche, the Museum of Islamic Art, Katara and the towers of West Bay, often up to The Pearl. At dusk the skyline lights come on — the best photos happen in the 30 minutes around sunset.
How much does a sunset cruise cost?

Is sunset or night better for photos?
Sunset gives you both: golden light on the water first, then the illuminated skyline as it gets dark. If photos are the priority, a private boat lets you position for the light instead of following a fixed route.
Is it cold on the water in the evening?
The breeze on the water is stronger than it feels on shore, especially from November to February. Bring a light jacket or shawl for after sundown.
Can children join a sunset cruise?
Yes. Dhow operators typically charge about half price for children aged 5–11, with under-5s free on an adult's lap. Life jackets are provided — ask for child sizes when booking.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen and a hat for the first hour, a light layer for after sunset, your camera, and an ID — organised cruises ask for a QID or passport at boarding.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Standard practice in Doha is at least 24 hours' notice by the operator, with a free reschedule or a full refund if a cruise is cancelled for weather.
